Friggin' cell phone

I lost my blackberry. I kind of feel relieved, and I kind of had it coming (since I skipped it across the highway the other day because it was making me mad). So, I guess it'll be new phone time here shortly, working nights 100km from Grande Prairie doesn't help my situation at all.

Cha

I really have to start finding some new things to listen to, but you can always count on the classics

Finally

Well, I finally decided to splurge a bit and purchase a new computer. (I justify the purchase by telling myself if raises the health of my sanity).

Really though, I've just spent the last month in the middle of nowhere (Kakwa Wildland in Alberta) lifting heavy things and raping the environment (It's my job to).

So really, other than that, I went to the Calgary Stampede last weekend, and it was exactly as I expected. Too many pedestrian half-wits, and a whole buncha cowboys and bikers. But for some reason, I did meet a bunch of Irish folk, and travel in a limo, and have a hot-tub party until 6am. But that's nothing out of the ordinary, my expectations can not be exceeded anymore. I find myself quite bored with life, so what it comes down to now, is travel travel travel. Florida in October, Vegas (30th birthdays round 2) in January, and either Europe, Australia, or Thailand in the Spring. If I'm going to have nothing to show for my money, I may as well do it in style.

Ok

So my computer died, so I'll be posting on the fly from my blackberry for a little bit until I decide I want a new computer. Worst day.

Oh the humanity

After embarking on a Vancouver/Pacific coast adventure, I'm starting to see how invincible I am NOT.

My body is just in shambles after a weekend with way too little sleep, and way too much alcohol/hot dogs. Mind you, I got to actually see a tonne of awesome stuff; Whistler, Sunshine Coast, all of Vancouver, and some friends I haven't seen in way way too long.

I do however, not ever want to sleep in a car ever again.

I think I'm going to embark on a new journey. I downloaded the first season of Dexter, I've heard nothing but good things. But people also coined "The Hangover" as the funniest movie ever. So I am hard pressed to believe that this will end well.

On that note, here is kyle with a hot dog:

Christmas in April

It's that time again.

MLB's opening week.

I have very dismal expectations for the Mets this year, however. I guess we'll see. This whole Mountain Time zone + baseball deal is great. Baseball from 11am right until midnight. I'm in heaven.

My shoulder is healed, I'm back to work. And I've never been more happy about it.

Time to make some plans for some Toronto/East coast trips. lets do this thing.

Can't write.

Too drunk.

Here is some fun:

It's windy in the Queer, be gentle.

bub bub bub

I'm not a bad mood person. Ever.

I generally hate people when I'm happy. Like, I have a 0% tolerance for people entering my life for more than 5 minutes. I just hate it.

But then again give me 10 of these

Or these:

And you might just be my best friend for a night.

I guess I'm a friend whore too.

Angry Sheep, Nice Sheep.

I'm always doing things that are, well, not the smartest, to say the least. Always on an adventure, on an idea that floated around for barely 5 minutes before we leave.

Yeah yeah, I'm going somewhere with this.

Saturday morning, Carson came home from work. We had both never been in the mountains north of Lake Louise or Banff before (other than for work really). So we decide it was a good idea to make the 7 hour drive to Jasper, Alberta. 7 hours, that we had initially calculated out to be 3 or 4. (whoops). Anyways, it was all pretty lackluster, until today. Where we made the drive from Jasper, to Banff. So anyways, I took some pictures with my Blackberry at pretty random points, but needless to say, most of that 300km highway was pretty beautiful, although I am now sick of mountains. This is the location of the drive:

SO. Really, this just cost a lot of money for very little gain. Jasper turned out to be a hole, and was probably one of the most uninteresting places I've ever been (and I've been to a LOT of uninteresting places). Drive was cool, but way too long. And now my weekend is over. Great choices all around.

The Kooks - Naive

I remember my first few weeks of college in Toronto, my now great friend Campbell and I hung out for the first time and were trading tunes. This band came up (this was 2006) and my fuck did I ever just fall head over heels for this album. The Kooks were only around 15 years old when they wrote most of this album, which is just incredible. Take it away.

^^^

I'm thinking more and more how the picture thats up there in the title doesn't really make much sense. I live in Red Deer, it should be more like this:

I'm kind of depressed now. Ah well, back to some Friday night Halo, and thinking about how fun it might be to get belt-buckled on the couch, by myself. Cheers to living forever.

Lucero - My Best Girl

Twangy.

This. Is. Red Queer

Hey, what's up in the Queer today? That's what's up. This isn't uncommon, it's just ungodly.

The Longest Highway Home - The Reason

The album is pretty good, but this song is just killer.

William Fontaine De la Tour D'Haute Rive

I feel a writing kick coming on. Who cares though, I'm just going to say a bunch of random things and probably switch from topic to topic at a ridiculous pace, because my writing (in any sort of form) lacks structure these days. I have good punctuation, though. I feel pretty good about that.

I think I want to cut the sleeves off of all my shirts. Alberta would commend me for my work.

Fuck Yeahhhhh!

Quick thanks

Just a thanks to Albert and Krista for having the wits about them (at times) to photo and video everything while we all acted like cockeye'd jackasses.

WE'RE GOING ON A DIG!

Drink from my Chalice

Enjoying a little Gin Blossoms, smoking ceegars, and drinking out of an ice bucket. Classic.

Midnight Birthday Latterman

Friday night, James turns Vegas 30.

Quick Price is right

Again, just a quick snap of the price is right because camera's were illegal in the Jubilee Theatre @ Bally's Casino

Saturday night

No explanation

Rasheed and The one armed back stroke

Same as below, some underwear swimming during a cool Vegas morning.

The pool and the cabbage.

What's growing on? This vid is from the Planet Hollywood Westgate Towers lobby bar/courtyard. Sunday morning swim and some football. Yeehaw!

Steel Panther

I'm led to believe this was Sunday night, after we got our hands on 30 beer, and were already just ripe with what could soon be alcohol poisoning and just before we hit the Hard Rock Casino.

ONE NIGHT ONLY! SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!

Okay, this was (for me) the absolute most ridiculous day of the weekend. Between dance parties in the elevators with Asian Bachlorette parties, and swimming in a pool in my underwear in front of 100's of people watching Sunday football, there was no dull moment. Again, lets do this

So, the day started off by waking up semi early after getting in around 8am. Instead of letting my hangover defeat me, I decided to get right back on the horse. So I grabbed the bottle of Jack Daniels that was sitting on our TV stand, and put a beer box on my head, and went to town. Hello 10am!

Small victory
And then, Joey Jeremiah and crew went down to the Westgate Towers bar, and began drinking Caesars.
A mini sword fight broke out
And the winner ISSSS

And in front of that bar, was a pool. We didn't bring any shorts, no problem.

And then everything went fuzzy

And we heard that you could get 30 beer for 22.99.

Happy Thirtieth buddy, it was a slice.
My Losings
Bye Vegas

There are videos, I'll be getting to those tonight or tomorrow. Oh god.
